Grooming Overview

We never shave down an owners pet without upfront consent, And you may be asked to sign a matted pet release. For the safety of your pet this may be required. Matted dogs at a higher risk for getting skin infections, fleas and sick. They are more likely to get injured in the grooming process including, bruising ,brush burns and cuts if you choose to de-matt, It is safer to have your matted pet to be shaved down then to have the tight matts left on. Matted dogs can hold water and this can cause your pet to catch cold and become sick or cause hot spots., EVEN If it is a inside pet.

Regular grooming can ensure that matting will not become a problem for you.

Be sure to let your groomer know if your pet has any allergies or any concerns you my have about your pets health ,doing so can help make us aware of things to look for.

Some pets require special attention or might take longer to get used to the grooming process and for this we ask for your patience and understanding that it might take several attempts to get that new puppy adjusted, an older dog groomed or a problem dog done. This helps to ensure your pet will have a good experience and will enjoy future grooming.

A puppy needs to have its first grooming when they are between 12 and 16 weeks old and has had its first two vaccinations. Regular
grooming should start every six weeks thereafter or until they get used to the grooming. Getting used to the grooming is a very important for your new puppy. It’s better to start them out young so they grow up learning the grooming routine.
